Last month, dozens of drones were captured on video hovering in the night skies of New Jersey. Olivia Dimattio, the owner of a coffee shop in Mendham, New Jersey, where some of these drones were spotted, described them as being the size of small cars, similar to a mini-Cooper or a Ford Escape. She emphasized that these were not pranks by kids buying drones from Amazon but something more significant.
The sightings in New Jersey have left people puzzled and demanding answers from the government, which has remained relatively silent on the matter.
In San Diego County and other parts of Southern California, similar sightings are being reported. Colin Rambo, a resident of Lemon Grove, captured video on November 22, 2024, showing a bunch of red lights floating in the sky. He recounted that while driving down the street near his house, he pulled over as he saw what appeared to be a fleet of glowing red orbs. He estimated seeing at least twenty-five of them over a five-minute period.
Three nights ago, large drones were also seen hovering in the sky above Temecula. Music artist and producer @itsnomadmusic described seeing one that was about the size of a car. They noticed that the objects did not behave like traditional airplanes or helicopters based on their shape and movements. They would move in one direction and then suddenly zig or zag and keep going or turn around quickly.
CBS 8 reached out to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, which confirmed that the drones seen in Temecula did not belong to law enforcement. They are still trying to determine the origin and purpose of these drones.
Camp Pendleton was also contacted about the recent sightings. Staff Sgt. Kathryn Lynch stated that the command is aware of the drone activity in the surrounding communities but no military unmanned aerial systems (UAS) training or activity has occurred during the relevant time and place.
In Lemon Grove, Rambo initially thought what he saw could have been paper lanterns in the air, but he remains uncertain. Nevertheless, he emphasized the importance of looking up at night. With all the news and sightings happening, he believes that by looking up, we have more chances to discover what is out there.
