Baton Rouge is a city that truly comes alive with music. From Friday to Sunday and throughout the week, there are countless musical events and performances that cater to all tastes. Whether you're a fan of classic symphonies or modern rock bands, there's something here for everyone.

Uncover the Rhythms of Baton Rouge's Musical Scene

Friday's Musical Delights

The weekend kicks off with a bang on Friday. At Tin Roof Brewing Co., the music starts at 5 pm, setting the tone for a fun-filled evening. Then, at 6 pm, there's the ORIGINAL MUSIC GATHERING at La Divina Italian Café, followed by the Vince Hutchinson & THE ORIGINAL HEAVY STORM BAND at The Queen Baton Rouge. Brice & Jenna take the stage at Crowne Plaza at 6 pm, and Chris LeBlanc performs at Tallulah at The Renaissance also at 6 pm.

Later in the evening, the Lee Serio Band rocks at T’Quilas in Denham Springs at 6:30 pm, and The Padlocks bring their tunes to On the Half Shell in Prairieville at 7 pm. The Baton Rouge Symphony — HOLIDAY BRASS takes center stage at Hemingbough in St. Francisville at 7:30 pm, while the LSU CANDLELIGHT CONCERT lights up the LSU Union Theater at the same time.

Saturday's Musical Journey

On Saturday, Caitlyn Renee kicks off the day with a performance at Leola’s Café & Coffee House at 11 am. Then, at 4 pm, there's an OPEN JAM SESSION at The Smokey Pit. The MULTICULTURAL SOUNDS OF LOUISIANA fills the Main Library at Goodwood at 4 pm. Mrs. Carmela performs at La Divina Italian Café at 6 pm.

Thrower, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER, BLISS & NORCIO take the stage at Mid City Ballroom at 7 pm, followed by an ACOUSTIC NIGHT W/HENRY TURNER JR. at Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room at 8 pm. Blue Crab Redemption WITH THE BENDS rocks The Texas Club at 9 pm, and Waylon Kimball performs at Fred’s on the River in Prairieville at 9 pm. Will Wesley plays at The Edge at L’Auberge at 10 pm, and The AWEN TRIO entertains at Hayride Scandal at 10 pm. Taylor Nauta Trio also performs at T’s Country in Denham Springs at 10 pm.

Sunday's Musical Soothing

On Sunday, Justin Burdette Trio brings their music to Superior Grill in MidCity at 11 am. The NEW ORLEANS JAZZ fills Hayride Scandal at 11 am. Robert Calmes performs at Cocha at 11 am, and Lauren Lee Duo plays at On the Half Shell in Prairieville at 11 am. Debo Realis performs at Leola’s Café & Coffee House at 11 am, and Eric Gautreaux entertains at Red Stick Social at noon. The OLD TIME MUSIC JAM takes place at West Baton Rouge Museum in Port Allen at 3 pm.

The Baton Rouge Symphony — HOLIDAY BRASS also performs at Houmas House in Darrow at 4:30 pm, and the EBR SCHOOLS’ TALENTED MUSIC CONCERT fills the Main Library at Goodwood at 4:30 pm. Herakleion & PALE MISERY take the stage at Mid City Ballroom at 7 pm.

Weekday Musical Highlights

Monday brings Victor Vignes with Skip Doran to Phil Brady’s at 6 pm. On Tuesday, there's a CHRISTMAS RECITAL at AN OLD FASHIONED CAROL SING in the First United Methodist Church Sanctuary at 10:30 am. Eddie Smith performs at On The Half Shell in Prairieville at 6:30 pm.

Chris Allen & Dakota Civello play at La Daiquiris at 7 pm on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Chris LeBlanc performs at Mason’s Grill at 5:30 pm, and there's a SONGWRITERS OPEN MIC at Le Chien Brewing Co. in Denham Springs at 6 pm.

Kirk Holder is at Bin 77 at 6:30 pm, and Rhett Guillot performs at On the Half Shell in Prairieville at 6:30 pm. There's also a SONGWRITERS OPEN MIC W/HEATH RANSONNET at Coop’s on 621 in Gonzales at 7 pm. Andy Pizzo Trio plays at Hayride Scandal at 7:30 pm, and Dixie Rose’s ACOUSTIC CIRCLE is at Teddy’s Juke Joint in Zachary at 8 pm. Eddie Smith Band performs at La Daiquiris at 8 pm, and there's an OPEN MIC JAM at Brickyard South at 8 pm.

Thursday features KYBALION at El Paso in Sherwood at 6 pm, an OPEN MIC W/AMANDA JO HESS at Istrouma Brewing in St. Gabriel at 6 pm, and The STARDUST BOYS at The Brakes Bar at 6 pm.

There's also 2 DOMESTIC 1 IMPORT at The Tunnel at 6 pm, and Joel Cooper performs at On the Half Shell in Prairieville at 6:30 pm. The BISHOP ELLIS TRIO plays at Hayride Scandal at 7 pm, and A VERY SOULFUL CHRISTMAS WITH MORGAN JAMES lights up the Manship Theatre at 7:30 pm. Eddie Smith Band performs at La Daiquiris at 8 pm, and Henry Turner Jr. & ALL-STARS play at Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room at 8 pm. Finally, on Thursday, there's a BLUES JAM at Phil Brady’s at 9 pm.

On Saturday, Lonestar takes the stage at Mari Showroom at Paragon Casino in Marksville at 8 pm. And on Thursday, Will Wesley performs at Roux & Brew in Ponchatoula at 5 pm.
